1
Q: We received an LPO to execute a project with a specific material recommended by the client who gave us an LPO but now after shipping the materials to UAE, they are not accepting the material and they are asking for a change of material.
From our side, it is impossible to return the material as we have made payments and we cannot send it back. We are holding the materials for almost 3 months now in a warehouse and we are totally stuck.
We have shipped the material only with written approval and confirmation from the client and there is no cancellation clause stated in the LPO as well.
The material contributes to 85% of the project value.
What would be the best thing to do in this scenario?

How to force a UAE supplier to perform obligations toward client outside

Q: Hello.
We are an oil services company registered outside the UAE, dealing with a UAE-based company that keeps postponing the shipment of our order.
As a result, we bear penalties due to the delay per day as per our contract with our client. Is there a possibility to file a lawsuit against the UAE-based company?
Is there a government agency that resolves business disputes between local and international businesses before resorting to litigation?

Q: Hi,
We run a small consulting and design firm in Cape Town, South Africa. We recently were commissioned by a client in Dubai to develop their brand strategy and revise their website.
The last 25% payment is due and the client refuses to release this payment. It's a small amount of around $2500. What are our options without finding ourselves in debt?
Thank you

How to defend a revenge case raised by a client company that refuses to pay our fees?

0
Q: I run a technical services LLC company in Dubai. A construction company had not paid us our work payment. So I left the work and made a court case for the recovery but my case was refused by the court.
Now that the company revengefully made a false court case against my company and is claiming recovery of 70000 dirhams because of leaving work, today is my hearing.
I already stopped all work in my company due to huge losses. My trade license is already expired and my visa is about to expire on 11.3.24. I will cancel my visa also.
In this condition, what should I do?
Please advise and help me.
M.

Getting my children back from the UAE after my ex-husband took them to avoid divorce 0
Hello,
I'm in Canada, and I filed for divorce. My husband, who owns a real estate company in Abu Dhabi, kidnapped our children and took them to the UAE to avoid the divorce and force me back to him.
My children are twin boys, 8 years old, and a 10-year-old girl. What can I do?
I want to follow them and take my children back, but he says his local Emirati connections will file criminal cases against me and have me jailed if I go there. What can I do remotely?
Does the UAE return kidnapped children to their mother? In the UAE, a guardian cannot legally kidnap their own child; what does this mean for my case?
If I report him, what happens to my children? Will they be held until I arrive to take them?

Can a DTC holiday home permit be used as proof that my landlord re-rented the property after evicting me? 0
Hello,
My landlord vacated the property with 12 months' notice, stating he would live there himself.
However, he started renting the property through the holiday homes system.
Is a permit issued by the DTC for a holiday home valid proof to prove that he is renting and to claim compensation?

Can I file a case against a friend for privacy breach if he claimed I scolded him for his act? 0
On Jan 2, 2025, one of my close friends did a privacy breach and recorded me and my van in some specific place.
On Feb 5, when I called and asked him why he did this to me, he went and gave a complaint that I scolded him and threatened him.
The same case was later closed by the PP when we negotiated outside the station and apologized.
At this juncture, can I file a privacy breach case against him, which happened on Jan 2, 2025, and on Feb 5 I scolded him only for the privacy breach that happened on Jan 2?
