الإجراء الواجب اتخاذه بعد انتهاء عقد الإيجار في حالة عدم إمكانية التواصل مع المالك

مرحبًا جميعًا،

انتهى عقد إيجار الشقة الخاص بي. لم يتواصل معي المالك منذ أربعة أشهر وكنت أعتقد أنه بسبب فيروس كورونا، قد يكون عالقًا في مكان ما وكنت أنتظره.

لقد مر الآن أربعة أشهر على انتهاء العقد ولم يتواصل معي المالك حتى الآن. ماذا يجب عليّ أن أفعل ووفقًا للقانون مّن المسؤول عن هذا الخطأ؟

Many thanks for your inquiry!

As per law, you are entitled to stay in the apartment for another year as long as you continue to pay the old rent each month.

Do not stop doing this as non-payment will give the landlord the right to evict you for rent arrears whenever he shows up. Try to get in touch with the real estate brokers through whom you rented the property to find out what is happening.

If you rented privately and know if any other properties the landlord owns, check with the other tenants if they have heard from the landlord.

As regards rent payment, if you have the bank account number of the landlord, deposit the rent funds at his bank branch over the counter and obtain a bank receipt which you can show to him someday.
