Q: Hello, There was a bounced cheque case against me in Dubai in 2009-10. I won the case upon appeal in January 2020. I have been fighting extradition to Dubai since 2018 for the same case. Even though, the case was won in January. Until today (December 2020), the authorities in my country of residence (Ukraine) haven't officially received the judgment from the UAE. 1.What steps can be taken to expedite this process? 2. What steps does a judgment go through before it is communicated to the country in which the extradition case is pending? 3. What is the normal time frame for this process and for the removal of the Interpol red notice against the accused? Thanks and regards,

Q: Last October 2017, my security cheque for my personal loan bounced because I was two months delayed. When I found out that my cheque bounced, I coordinated with the bank, and they advised me that I need to submit a new cheque and new salary transfer certificate to them and they won't file a case. I submitted the required documents and paid some amount as well. Last February 21, 2018, I was planning to go to Georgia for vacation and I was arrested due to a case filed by the bank. I was surprised because I knew that they will not file a case and no one from the bank informed me that I have a case. The case was filed last November 12, 2017, and I even had communication with the bank for loan re-structuring and during that time they didn't even tell me that I have a case. I paid AED 10k fine for the case. I was really disappointed by the bank gesture. Why would I go to Georgia if I know that I have a case? I almost spent 5 days in jail. Please let me know your advice. Q: The Bank filed a false case against me and when I visited the bank's legal team I found that all my documents were forged and the loan was processed. I suffered in jail for one day and then the case was withdrawn by the bank. How to demand an explanation and compensation from the bank? Am I eligible to sue the bank? I'm currently financially weak and would like to pay the lawyer fees after getting any compensation. I have proof of forged documents.
