Q: Hi.
Can I request an arrest warrant against my employer if he didn’t come to the court even after receiving a legal notice from the court?
He seized my passport for no reason and after knowing that I filed a case on him, he is forcing me to come to his office and take the passport as he doesn’t want to go to the court.
Should I go to him directly or tell him to come to the court to handover everything?
Please answer.

I requested the contract cancellation which I was granted at the labour office, but my employer refused to handover the cancellation paper after I exceeded my 30 days grace period.

Q: Dear Madam,
How can I get my passport from my employer?
My employer has filed a case against me for misappropriation of company money in Sharjah Police Station.
When I went to my employer to claim for my passport to deposit in the police, he refused to give my passport and I deposited my wife's passport and faced the inquiry officer and they released me.
How can I get my passport from the employer and deposit the same with the police station so that my wife can get back her passport?
My labour card and insurance card are already cancelled by my employer since last 2 months before filing the case against me.
My legal status is still valid, as my immigration has not been cancelled yet and my family is under my sponsorship.
Please advise.

I wanted to purchase a 2-bedroom apartment in JVC Dubai. I gave a 10% security deposit cheque to the seller. The price mentioned in the MoU is very high compared to other similar apartments in the same building.
The bank’s valuation also came in very low. Since the valuation is much lower, how can I terminate the MoU and get my cheque back? The MoU ends on 1st October 2024.
One of the articles in the MoU states:
In the event that the Buyer fails to make the payments as agreed or fails to complete the transfer on the agreed date due to his own acts or omissions, the Seller has the right to terminate this agreement and retain the deposit, provided that the termination is due to a violation of the agreed terms, unless both parties agree amicably to different dates.

How is the probation period calculated exactly from the date of signing the contract? 0
Regarding the probation period, when is the deadline for an employer to terminate me if the DOJ anniversary is Friday 2nd Feb?
Will the six-month period end at midnight on the 1st, therefore completing six months, or can the employer still terminate on the 2nd?
