Drafting terms and conditions for a startup website
Dears,
I'm currently working on a startup website which follows the Youtube model (pay users for their contribution) based on the effect of the contribution on the society and community.
I would like some help in writing the terms and conditions for the website. Do you advise that we draft the T&C and then it is reviewed by a legal team or should be written by a legal team from the beginning?
Could you give a rough figure or range on what to expect for the cost of such a service?

Firstly, I need to tell you that you are off to a great start just by asking this question because your T&Cs are designed to protect your customers’ privacy, reduce your exposure to liability, shield your intellectual property (IP), inform about limitations and warranties, and disclose conflict resolution procedures.
Therefore, it is very important that the document is drafted very well.
However, I'm sure you are already aware of the above, so to answer your question, you might want to draft a rough version to include anything that may be specific to your business into your rough draft.
You can then take that draft to a lawyer with all other necessary documents and explain to him what you intended to achieve or get to in your draft.
This way, your lawyer will be able to rephrase your draft (using the appropriate terms), fill in all the gaps, legal necessities that you missed and finally make corrections where necessary.
Your lawyer can then sit with you and explain to you the document they drafted if needed, and if you are happy with it, you would have had the T&C's tailored to your liking and still very much be protected.
As for the price, unfortunately, it would be hard to gauge before going into further details about the nature of the startup. It would depend on the complexity of your business and how long it may take the lawyer to draft.
On the bright side, however, such document does not take too long to draft, therefore it should not be too expensive.
