Settlement of a bounced cheque for defaulting on a bank loan
0
Q: Naser, Salaam alaikum
We want to file a case against X related to a bank issue in Ajman. We are submitting the relevant proof/documents like memorandum, emails...etc.
They will be translated into Arabic, legal translation. The case also involves bank statements that show that we paid as proof.
My question:
Do we need to do the legal translation of all 24 pages of bank statements in Arabic?
They are given by the bank in English and exported as PDF from the bank account (electronic) and has all the details, bank logo, etc...
Please clarify.
Shukran

Temporary possession of brother's passport to leave UAE for an emergency

3
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I am currently subject to a travel ban in the UAE, which prohibits me from leaving the country. Despite my critical circumstances, which include having multiple cases related to banking matters and cases in the Rental Dispute Centre, I find myself unable to travel due to this restriction.
Complicating matters further, my wife is currently critically ill, necessitating my immediate need to travel.
Given the urgency of my situation and the lack of a suitable guarantor, I am exploring all available options. I am currently running a small business in Dubai, and my brother is scheduled to join me in a few weeks.
Is it possible for me to request temporary possession of my brother's passport for a couple of weeks in order to leave the UAE to attend to my wife's critical condition?
Your prompt assistance and guidance on the available legal avenues would be greatly appreciated.

How can I remove a travel ban and fine in a criminal case to go to my home country?

5
Q: Hi.
I am having an ongoing civil case in Sharjah. I need to travel to India because my father passed away yesterday. Therefore to do the last rites, I really have to travel to my home country.
But the problem I am facing is that I have a pending fine to be paid in the criminal court which is 100,000 with which I have a travel ban.
I have done nothing wrong to the company that I was working for but I still have gone through so much such as being put in jail for 8 days, not renewing my visa, and taking money from my account.
I haven't worked for the last 2 years and all my savings that I had in this country were all put to run the case.
Could anyone let me know if there is any possibility to reduce the fine imposed on me?
Thank you.

The public prosecution appealed a judgment to increase the fine I already paid. What do I do now? 0
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your time.
The public prosecution appealed my judgment (a fine that I satisfactorily cleared) and requested increasing the fine.
Can you please explain what happens during a criminal case appeal hearing for me as a defendant?
Will I be asked questions?
Is the hearing just for the Public Prosecution to present their appeal to the judge, and I do not need to give a response?
Thank you again for your time.

I purchased an apartment, but the previous landlord refuses to vacate. What to do? 0
Hello,
I bought an apartment, but the previous landlord is refusing to vacate it. The contract clearly states that the landlord should hand over the apartment on the day of the transfer.
Out of courtesy, I gave him three days to vacate so he could find a new place to stay, but the time has passed, and he is still refusing to vacate and hand it over.
What should I do in this case?

As someone unfamiliar with local laws and a non-Arabic speaker, the police took my statement but did not provide a translation and told me to sign. I have no idea what they wrote or presented in the case.
The case is now with the Public Prosecution. What should I do to ensure the authorities are aware of this?
