How to avoid getting arrested at the airport due to an unresolved rent case?
Will I be stopped at the airport?
There was a verdict against me due to a rent dispute about a year ago.
I was ordered to vacate and pay a certain amount. I did vacate but never paid the ordered amount.
I am wondering if I will be stopped at the airport while trying to exit Dubai for a few days.
Unless there are any police reports against you in regards to this amount, you are free to go.
I would strongly recommend you appoint any law firm to run a travel ban check on behalf of you before you leave.
Due to the rental case, you could be put on a travel ban.

We need to check your travel ban records, in the police station, to answer your question. If the landlord imposed a travel restriction under your name, then you will face issues.
I suggest, before you travel, you hire a lawyer to perform a travel ban checking for you. If there are negative records registered under your name, you should not travel unless the issue is resolved.
