Questions & Answers
How to cancel the visa and clear overstay fines if the employer is out of country?
I can't reach my employer, he is out of the country for 1 year.
My visa has expired in October 2020 and I need to cancel it to be able to get a new visa, I am very concerned about fines & any repercussions, I must get this cancelled asap and get onto a new visa.
Can you help with:
1) How do I cancel the visa if the employer is no longer here?
2) How can I find out about my overstay fines?
3) Who is responsible for my overstay fines?
Dear Questioner,
Please be informed that we are able to help and assist you legally with your above-mentioned issues.
Please check our below comments to your inquiries as follows:
1) You cannot cancel your visa without the attendance of your employer. Otherwise, we can help you to do that as per the immigration law of the UAE without the presence of your employer.
2) In order to know about your fines, you have to provide us with a copy of your passport and visa and we will proceed to check for you (free of charge) and let you how much is the amount imposed on your name.
3) You are the one who is responsible because you did not register any complaint against your employer once he left the country. However, we still have the ability to assist you and get governed discount of the total amount of your outstanding.
If you are interested in the aforementioned, please provide us with a copy of your passport and visa to our email. Then we will check your status first and inform you about legal steps that should be taken.
Thanks.
