Q: Dear Ahmed,
Eid Mubarak!
I lost my job two years back and I have been on a couple of visit visas without luck!
I have a loan which I was able to pay the first few months of being laid off, however, I couldn't afford to until the bank deposited one of the security cheques.
I was arrested while exiting the country, and fined where I was handed over my passport.
I am back on a visit to look for a job but the bank has threatened to open a civil case, what are my options?
Will they take me to jail? Is there a way I can request the court to allow me to pay little instalments until I get a job?
Kindly advise

Q: Dear Sir,
I was working in Jebel Ali free zone Dubai and I lost my job in 2015 due to company downsizing, and I had a loan from a bank which I was not able to pay off.
I tried looking for a job when I was in Dubai during my visa cancellation process but was unsuccessful. I came back to my home country after, but when I came back and I had an accident and now after recovery.
I was trying to get a job in the UAE and pay back the bank outstanding but no good luck for me. And now, I got an offer from one company in my home town.
I just wanted to know how to handle the above issue after few people visited my home town and said we are from recovery and they are threatening my mother saying they will bring more people to recover the payment.
Kindly advise what the UAE law said regarding the above issue. I even sent to the bank regarding paying back the payment if I will get a job in hometown and get salary in Pak. Rs.
But till now, no reply from the bank regarding the above request.
Please, give your expert opinion.

Q: Greeting!
My name is Fazil Hussain,
I was working in the UAE for past 5 years, I have a personal loan of 80,000 from ADCB Bank in Dubai. I never missed a single EMI to the bank and had good records. But I lost my job, so had to come back to India.
I wanted to go back to Dubai and search for a job but the bank said they have blocked my visa and I cannot get a job there. I replied to the bank by email that if they block my visa then how can I find a job in Dubai and how should I pay my outstanding balance on the personal loan. I can pay my loan only if I get a job in the UAE...
Please help me with your advice, I can pay the outstanding only if I work in GCC. I can't afford to pay from India. I want to pay my outstanding and clear it.
Can the bank give me NOC to work in Dubai and pay their loan? And I want to know, is it possible if I go to Saudi Arabia and do a job and pay my installments to the bank in the UAE?

Q: I lost my job in six months. I got a new job but with less and delayed salary. I have a bank loan and I didn't pay for it in 6 months and pay only partially if I have money.
They deposited my cheque and I paid a penalty to the police station. Now, the bank called me again and informed me that they will register me for a civil case.
Please advise, if they pursued the civil case against me, what things should I know and do?
Thank you so much.

View allTerminated for performance issues without prior warning while on vacation. What should I do? 0
Hello Sir,
I am facing an issue with my employer. I work in the private sector in the UAE, and my employment visa expires in June 2025.
After two years, I traveled to my home country for vacation, and one week after my arrival, the company sent me an email terminating my employment due to performance issues.
However, I was never given any prior warning or written notice. The termination email also did not mention any notice period or other details.
I would like to know my rights and what I should do in this situation.

Changed my mind before signing the lease agreement. Are my post-dated rent checks at risk? 0
Hello,
I recently found an apartment for rent and agreed with the agent to make payments in three installments.
I provided the agent with post-dated checks for the second and third payments and planned to transfer the first payment, deposit, and agency fee to the agent’s account once the lease agreement was finalized.
However, the lease agreement has not been finalized yet, and I have since found a better place. Since I have not signed any lease agreement, should I be concerned about the landlord cashing the checks for the second and third payments? Is it legal?
Additionally, the agent requested an extra 2,000 dirhams beyond the amount he intended to include in the lease agreement.

He has since sold the property before the eviction date, and now the new owner intends to use the old notice to evict me and re-rent the apartment at a higher rate.

I hired an agency to close my free zone company but failed to do so. What can I do? 0
I hired an agency to close my free zone company in October last year and paid them already.
However, I have now been informed by the FDA that the company has not been closed, and I am required to upload a renewed license (which I do not have), otherwise, I will face a penalty.
The agency I hired is not responding to my messages.
What can I do?

Can we legally act against community management for a noisy pool unit? 0
Hello,
We live in a development in Ras Al Khaimah, and under our apartment block, there is a loud swimming pool heater/chiller unit that runs 24/7, producing a rattling and humming noise that disturbs our peace.
We can hardly use our balcony due to this noise. Other apartments face the same issue, but the community management refuses to take action.
What legal recourse do we have? Can we serve the community management office with a legal notice?
