The way of settling bank loan installments after moving to less paid job

I lost my job in six months. I got a new job but with less and delayed salary. I have a bank loan and I didn't pay for it in 6 months and pay only partially if I have money.

They deposited my cheque and I paid a penalty to the police station. Now, the bank called me again and informed me that they will register me for a civil case.

Please advise, if they pursued the civil case against me, what things should I know and do?
