Dear Questioner,

Thank you for contacting me!

Your notice period depends upon your employment contract. Unfortunately, you have not mentioned the nature of your employment contract.

If yours is an unlimited contract, you shall serve a notice period of 30 days [minimum] as per UAE labor law.

If yours is a limited contract, there can be a penalty for breaking the limited contract before its term.

However, the annual leave, salary, and ticket fare are your legal rights if you have worked for the stipulated period as per your contract.

Regards,

Hi,

Good Morning!

I having 3 years contract and my visa will expire on 12 March 2022.

My question is if I take ticket encashment (which I will get 25 to 30 days before my vacation) after getting encashment, I can resign with 30 days notice period as per law or if I will wait to take vacation salary then I resign for 30 days?

Furthermore, how much time will it take to the cancellation of my visa?

Kindly give assistance.

Dear Questioner,

You may submit your resignation in line with the notice period given in your employment contract.

You may take the annual leave encashments and then submit your resignation. But, the notice period formalities shall be followed as per your employment contract.

If yours is a limited contract, you will have to compensate the employer for early termination.
