Q: Polygamist father has left home and stayed with his 2nd wife and her kids and mother, after a fight about "why I didn't give salam to the 2nd wife" while I was sitting inside a car and she was outside talking with my brother.
I am not on speaking terms with her and she was a reason for countless fights in my family.
My father also said he will not pay for food expenses because my sister and I got a job. He stopped paying for my sister's education a year ago so she pays for herself.
My two younger siblings are still studying and can't provide for themselves. My sister and I don't earn enough to support a family.
I want to know if the police can be involved just for warning my father about the consequences of his action if this issue does not get solved amicably.

The legal and financial rights of a son from his father
0
Q: Hello,
I'm enquiring about a law in the UAE. I'm a British citizen born in Shrewsbury, but my father is from Dubai.
Written in the law the firstborn Arab son is entitled to his father's fortune/ land. I've lived in England my whole life as I didn't have a choice when I was younger as certain events took place.
If you type this story on google you'll come across a story of me that made international news. This story made headlines as my father tried kidnapping me and taking me back to Dubai.
Basically, I want more information and my legal entitlements as I'm now 22 years of age.

Now Abu Dhabi is asking for the letter from my dad that he has to provide that I am his son. He is not giving it even I have filed for tenfiz.
What can I do now?

Refusing admission to a French school due to the nationality of the child

1
Q: Hello,
My child has been refused admission to a French school in Dubai, two years in a row, in Pre-KG (first-class) where all nationalities can apply, because he is a Saudi citizen and the school gives priority to French and Emirates citizens.
The director clearly says it is based on nationality because this year we were amongst the first ones to apply.
The UAE government does not differentiate between UAE citizens and GCC citizens (Saudis) giving them free education in public schools to be non-discriminatory between locals and GCC citizens.
KHDA regulating private schools can speak to the school but cannot enforce the admission because it is the school's internal policy.
How is it possible to be bluntly discriminated against two years in a row? Can we legally sue the school for being discriminatory and also can an internal policy be contradictory to government laws/constitutional laws etc?
Thank you!

I removed my absconding and applied to reduce my overstay fine.
If I pay my overstay fine, then I want to apply for a new visa.
Should I apply easily without exiting here?

Is a bounced rent cheque case considered a criminal record for U.S. visa applications? 0
Hello,
My rent cheque was bounced, and my landlord filed a case against me in Sharjah Court. I received a fine of 2,000 AED, which was later reduced to 1,000 AED upon appeal.
Does this case count as a criminal conviction under UAE law, or was it handled as a civil matter?
If I apply for a U.S. visa, will I need to submit court records under the requirement for applicants with past convictions?

How can I renew my Ejari if the landlord hasn’t signed the new contract? 0
Hi,
I have been here for 3 years now and paid the increased amount (as per the agreement) for the 4th year.
However, the landlord did not send me back the signed contract, although I have both made the payment for the full year via bank transfer and sent my signed contract to him.
I need to renew my Ejari; however, how can I do it without the landlord's signature?
I have all the previous contracts signed by both parties, along with the Ejari for those contracts.

How can I file a counter-complaint for a false public cursing accusation? 0
Hello,
How can I file a counter-complaint against a person who made a false report about me for public cursing, which I never did?
He made the complaint about three months after we last met. I now have a case because of it, but I never said any bad words to him.
I was stopped at the airport because of that.
