Filing criminal and civil proceedings for a bounced cheque
I am running a small company and I have a bounced cheque from my customer who really cheated me and he's not returning my goods; and now, he himself is asking me to file a case against him.
What are the possibilities to recover my amount of AED 64000, as this has brought a great impact on my business stability?

Dear Sir,
Further to your query, kindly be informed that as the cheque is bounced, you can institute a criminal as well as a civil case against the company/customer.
By instituting a criminal case, the customer can be jailed for issuing false cheques, along with it he is also banned from travelling outside the UAE.
This puts more pressure on the customer to pay the outstanding amount. Thereafter, you have to institute a civil case in order to get your entitlements.
In order to file a civil, as well as a criminal case, we shall be needing the original cheques, proof of delivering the goods, email communications or any other proof in support to our claims.
