Is it possible to work with a company other than your visa sponsor company?

I am holding a resident visa from Dubai mainland company, which is acting more like a platform for freelancers.

Is it possible for me to start working on one of the free zone companies, but still hold my current visa?

(I assume it can be some part-time labour contract or full-time if possible).

Dear Questioner,

Yes, of course, you can do that but you should get NOC letter from mainland company then you will be able to work freely.

Thanks.

Hi Mohammad,

Thank you for your quick reaction.

The NOC is not a problem, my current company (which is a freelance platform) will provide anything needed.

Could you elaborate if under UAE's law it can be an only part-time contract with free zone employer, or can also be full-time?

I have no much activity with the current employer. Basically, it is somewhat like 1 hour per week, and just very basic formal salary.

Thank you

As you wish. Full-time or part-time, it doesn’t matter. The NOC is the most important part.

Good luck.
