Q: Hi, Sir.
Good evening. My name is Sanal and I have a question.
My current employer is a lady and she is harassing me too much. Now, I'm nearly three years with her and every time she harasses me.
She says I will complain about you in the immigration and put you in jail. I make u a big problem like that, not only me in my company but there are other employees also struggling the same situation.
Until now three years, we are afraid of her and we are silent. Now, she realises we are not going to continue in this company and she wants to make a problem for us.
It's simple, she doesn't want to pay us in ten months and our visa is going to finish so she starts t make issues for us.
I need your help, Sir

Can I claim my end of service benefits after signing the resignation settlement?
5
Q: Hi Sir,
I worked for a travel agency for 3years, as accounting manager; when wanted to come back to my home country I resigned from my job in July 2017. My employer didn’t pay my dues and didn't make any final settlement amount.
Being trusting the manager I signed the end of services form for visa cancellation. He promised me to make the payment once the visa is cancelled, but after cancellation, he started harassing me saying I have manipulated his accounts and stole his money and tortured me.
Finally, he made me sign a document that I have adjusted amount which was approx 50,000 Dhs, for my mistakes in white paper and gave my passport and I left Dubai in July. I have 1 loan of 30,000 and 10,000 credit with banks, who are after me to make the payment.
Is there anything I can do to get my money? Pls, help me I want to clear my dues in Dubai.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sk

How to move legally against an abusive manager?
2
Q: Dear sir/madam,
I joined a company in December. My manager was on leave for 2 months and returned back. Since he is back, he micromanages me and is verbally abusive, and shouts at me in the office and in front of others.
He keeps threatening me that when my 6 months are up, he will fire me as I’m not performing according to him. I have documented/journaled every time he has been abusive and what he said.
I have a daily tracker of my work and everything that I am working on. What are my legal rights?
He is the marketing director of a larger group and I was hired as a dedicated resource to handle marketing for one of the larger entities.

Asking for returning the gifts and threating to file a case

3
Q: Dear sir/madam,
Ex-personal training client bought me gifts. Now, he has sent an email from their lawyers asking for 1.4 million AED back within 5 days.
I started training a very wealthy client last year. I’m female, he is a male. He started to buy me costly gifts, flight tickets, and even a car.
This was a strictly professional relationship although I did know he seemed to have feelings for me.
I told him I had gotten into a relationship, he then said he wanted me to leave him alone.
A few weeks later, I got an email from his lawyers saying all the money he spent on these gifts, including all money for training, he wanted back; 1.4 million AED worth. As I have “breached” the contract.
We never signed any contract. I never asked for any of the gifts. I never agreed to anything he bought me being a payment for future sessions.
Has he got any right to do this? Can he take me to court? I do not have the money to pay him back.

How to deal with manager's harassment?

1
Q: Good morning,
I am working in Dubai. My manager is always harassing me by using slang. Yesterday, my manager didn't allow me to work and told me that no need to come to work.
He is not allowing me to enter my workplace. I asked him to give me it in writing. Today also he is not allowing me to work. What should I do now? If it is like this, then I don't want to work here.
I am on a limited contract for 2 years. What should I do now?

View allHow to file an online defamation case from the Philippines against someone in Dubai? 0
Hello,
I'm currently looking for legal advice regarding an online defamation case. I am a Filipino citizen currently residing in the Philippines. The person I want to file a complaint against is also a Filipino citizen and is currently based in Dubai.
I have already sought legal consultation, but it cost me a lot for just a simple session. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can afford to proceed with the fees required for sending a warning or demand letter to the person I’m complaining about.
I would really appreciate any help, guidance, or information about possible free or low-cost legal services.
Thank you for your time!

What can I do if my creditor used my blank cheque to put an amount more than my unpaid balance? 0
Hi,
I have issued a blank cheque for my EMI, and now the company is using my blank cheque and putting any amount to deposit it.
My total unpaid balance is AED 19000, but they mentioned AED 42,030 on the cheque and another AED 10000. They told me they will deposit it to file a case.
What is my remedy on this matter?
Thank you.

View allDisputing tenant's refusal to accept old landlord's rent increase notice 0
Hi,
We recently bought a villa in Dubai. We are looking for an advocate for legal advice.
Even though the old owner gave the tenant a 90-day notice about the new rent, the tenant is not agreeing to the notice because it didn't come from us.
Since the renewal is in October and we bought the property in September, we don't have 90 days to notify the tenant of the new rent.
The tenant agreed to the new rent in an email with the old owner 90 days ago. Can we dispute this?

We had an accident. Can I claim the treatment costs paid to hospital from the insurance? 0
My family and I had an accident. The incident occurred the very next day of their arrival in the UAE on a residence entry permit and their visa//health insurance was still in process.
With gods grace, everyone was discharged from the hospital on the 3rd day after many tests and keeping us under observation. We were slapped with a hefty bill as my family was not holding any health insurance.
What are the chances that I could claim the medical expenses through the vehicle insurance, as it covers co-passengers as well?

What can I do if a company hired me then changed their mind? 0
I am working in a company and their management is the worst. They made an interview in India and called me.
After calling me here, they again made interviews and made me work for 1 month. And now, they're telling me I am not capable of work and they are mentally torturing me.
I have given them 1.5 lack in office in India and here they are not paying me any salary. I am going into depression as I am not getting any solutions.
The only solution coming to my mind is a suicide, I don’t have any other options left. I have taken money in interest and people are daily coming to my house for money.
Please guide me in a proper way on what I can do.

What happens to the company and its operations if one of the partners is deceased? 0
X Real Estate LLC is a newly formed LLC company in the mainland (DED) with 10 partners, 9 of them Indians and one Pakistani.
As per the new provisions, the company is owned 100 % by expatriate residents. The company’s business is buying and selling real estate in the UAE.
Query:
What happens to the company and other partners, when one partner dies with or without a will?
Can the remaining partners continue to operate the bank account or it will be frozen?
Are the operations of the company frozen? Can the remaining partners carry on the business as usual, buy, rent, and sell the properties?
Can the partners pay the share of the deceased partner to his legal heirs and distribute his share among the remaining partners?
Will this affect the other businesses of the remaining 9 partners in any way?
