The rights of a pregnant lady when being terminated before delivery
Hi,
I am a pregnant lady (7 months) working in a construction company (project base).
My issue is if I am going to be terminated before my delivery, can I demand compensation till the end of maternity leave?
What action do I need to do if this happens?

Please note that maternity leave can be availed only during the course of your employment. The salary paid during this period is not compensation but an added protection envisaged by UAE Labor Law.
Further, if your employer is planning to terminate you to avoid paying you the maternity benefits, you can challenge this termination, since this can be an instance of arbitrary termination.
You can seek compensation for arbitrary termination but not the salary for the maternity period.
