Just to let you know that in 2009 the company had given every employee their end of service benefits and made everyone sign one paper. My question is that during that time my basic salary was less but now it has increased. As per now, it looks like the company will only pay the end of service benefits from 2009 till date. Q: Hi. Could I please get some advice on the following: I own a company in the UAE, It is an LLC. I am a partner and I have a local partner holding 51%. We have a separate contract that gives me all ownership. I am sponsored through my company. I would like to cancel my work visa with my own company and be sponsored by another company to work for them. My company is run and managed by employees. My question is, am I able to cancel my working visa, be employed by another company but retain ownership of my own business? I will not be taking a salary from my business. I asked the company PRO about EOSB, he said that as my rota was 2 months in Abu Dhabi followed by 2 months in Spain so I was then not entitled to EOSB. Q: Hi I need to ask for a solution to my problem where I was appointed by the managing director and partner of the company. I worked for 1 year in a company with their visa, after that they transferred me to another saying it's our company as the manager and partner of this company was also the same as my original company. I worked there for another year but the salaries became irregular after a few months. My salary from the beginning was paid by the same manager and partner along with the other company expenses. I don't know what was agreed between the 2 partners and the sponsor. When my salaries stopped for 5 months I stopped going to office as the manager was not responding. But they stopped from doing so and tried to settle with me by paying only 20% of my final settlement which I didn't accept. Q: My company is a group of companies, and now they want me to switch/transfer the visa with one of their companies which is under the same group. This Decree sets the rules and conditions for the termination of fixed-term (limited) or unlimited (not term-bound) employment contract between employer and worker in the United Arab Emirates.

The provisions of this Decree-Law, known as "New UAE Labor Law", govern labour relations in the private sector of the United Arab Emirates. The New Labor Law repeals the previous UAE Labor Law (Federal Law No. (8) of 1980).
