Please note that an employment offer letter can be issued conditionally.

If the employer was not able to obtain work and residency authorization for the employee to ensure that the employee could be lawfully employed or if the authorizations are not obtained for whatever reason, then the employment offer can be withdrawn.

In this case, you may not have a potential claim.

Further, you may approach the ministry of labor and if you can prove the loss you suffered as a result of this incident, you can ask for compensation.
