"Set for judgment" means that the case is finished and that the court is reading the memos and preparing its judgment to be announced in the next hearing.

So even if your employer suddenly shows up, he cannot submit memos or do anything, unless he makes a request to reopen the case again, and where he needs to provide acceptable reasons to reopen the case and pay a small fee for it.
