Bounced cheque

I wrote a check for AED 400, the check bounced. They sent a letter saying if it was not paid in 10 days they would follow through with legal proceedings. It has been 21 days, I am paying it today. They turned it over to the police to serve me but they have not served me yet.

I did not realize the letter they sent cause I was out of town. Came home to this. What will happen?

Hi. If you pay the AED 400 they will drop any police case immediately. Just make sure that you obtain confirmation that the payment has been received by the other party so that just in case the police calls you in the station you have evidence to prove payment.
