Q: I started working in August 2017 with a company in Dubai. By the end of August, I received my first salary on time.
Now, it is already the end of October and my employer still didn't pay my September salary. As per accounting, it is also not clear when we will receive October salary, maybe mid of November for September salary only.
My contract is unlimited and I would like to know when I can report salary delay to the MoL. By 11.11.2017, will my contract be breached because of 2 unpaid salaries in a row, and can I resign and change to a new company without getting a labour ban?
When can I stop working for my current company without notice due to unpaid salary and breach of contract?

Claiming compensation due to delaying salary for over 4 months
1
Q: Hello,
I'm in a situation when my employer didn't pay me a salary for over 4 months. I filed a complaint against him in MOHRE and the case has already been moved to the court.
While I was working unpaid. I had to use a credit line from my home country to cover my living expenses. It would be right to say that the quality of life was deeply decreased, plus now I owe money to a bank in my home country.
Is there any way I can claim compensation for that, together with compensation for the moral damage caused by working unpaid?
Guide me, please.
Thank you!

Q: Hi All,
I am a London based owner of a Free Zone company. Due to corona pandemic, the manager handling the affairs of our Airport Free Zone company has gone to his home town and there is no business.
An employee has approached the DAFZA employment dept, getting emails from them for non-payment of salary for the past 6-7 months. Since business is bleeding, we are unable to pay now and the employee is not able to settle amicably.
How to respond to DAFZA?

Q: Hi,
I have been working in the UAE for 8 years and 4 months at the same company.
I have just renewed my new visa last August. Now, I want to resign because of so many issues. The main issue is not paying salary on time.
If I calculate my pending salary, it will be more than 3 months.
In this situation, if I resign, do they have the right to deduct my new visa dues?

Bank filed a civil case over a loan: Better to settle with the bank or in court? 1
Good day, Sir,
I have received a message from the Dubai Court stating that a bank has filed a civil case against me. The loan has been pending since February 2019.
I cleared the cheque bounce case earlier with a court fine in 2019. I am looking forward to a minimum settlement plan with the bank. The outstanding amount was around 70,000 AED, and now the message is for 115,000 AED.
What will be the best way for me to proceed: approaching the bank or dealing with it in court?
Best regards,

Is it legal for my employer to withhold my salary until I leave the country or change status? 1
Hello,
I have given my notice, and my last day is July 24, but the employer is refusing to pay my salary; even the salary for June. Is this even legal?
He claims I'll get everything at once, which is after leaving the country or changing status.

Demanding that an employee pay for visa charges a year after resigning 1
Dear Lawyers,
I worked at a bakeshop here in Dubai. I resigned exactly one year ago. Now they want me to pay for visa charges, as stated in the offer letter.
If I cannot pay for the charges, my employer will claim financial loss due to the damages, estimated to be at least 7,000 AED.
What should I do about this? My monthly salary is only 2,800 AED.
