The cost of filing divorce and maintenance depends on a case to case and lawyers.

Generally, lawyers charge AED 15k to 50K. You can personally also approach the family guidance section of the personal status court.

You need to present a valid marriage certificate attested by the ministry if issued from abroad. The court's committee will first try reconciliation between both of you.

And if the matter is not resolved amicably, then you can register in court for further processing and the court will issue a judgment on the merits of the case.
