Procedures of obtaining a trade license to sell goods online

I’m in the process of company formation.

From what I’ve learnt is that I need to ensure I have General Trading as an activity to exercise as an importer of goods & reseller on Amazon & noon.

What are your inputs?

Whilst the requirement of General Trading as an activity is correct, this represents only half of the prerequisites.

An equally important item that needs to be implemented is an activity concerning e-commerce.

Considering your business model, it is vital to have both activities mentioned in your trade license.

Although I am unsure about your free zone of choice, there are a number of different options that can be considered.

My choices of Free zones are of course the ones that are the most cost-effective.

Having said that I need to ensure that I have an assurance from any bank that they’re willing to help me open an A/C w/ them.

I’ve shortlisted Fujairah Creative City & International Freezone Authority, which is also a Fujairah based free zone as my options.

What would be your input?

We share a strong professional relationship with IFZA and understand their regulations quite well. Alternatively, we work with Sharjah Media City Free Zone also.

Specifically, in regard to your concern about a bank account, usually free zones face difficulties obtaining bank accounts.

However, Sharjah Media City Free Zone effectively guarantees its clients a bank account with Mashreq Bank.

Would Sharjah Media City Freezone offer me a trade license with General Trading & E-commerce activities?
