Q: Dear Sirs, I have a long story but I will give you the "bottom line". I won a case with the Ministry of Labor (MOL) in December 2015. The company did not accept the MOL decision (Company owed me three months salary for early termination of a two-year contract). I went to the court and won. The company appealed and had the verdict overturned. I hired a lawyer in May 2016 and my case was to be heard by Cassation Court in November 2016. Q: Greetings!!! I have filed a salary complaint against my employer in the MOL on 01/07/2018 for not paying me the salaries for 9 months and giving all sorts of excuses from illness to lack of funds till date. Meeting my ends have gotten worse for me. After my complaint was filed to labour office a date was scheduled for amicable settlement by labour office which was attended by myself and the staff of my employer where after my case was referred to the court. My case file was handed over to me and I was directed to go to the appointed typing centres for filing my case. I have followed the process on 10/07/2018 but as the papers that I received are in Arabic I cannot understand what’s written and how to identify the case number. I have difficulties in managing even a small amount now so that I could translate the papers into English and follow further procedures. I don’t even know whether my case has been filed by the typing centre in the court or not. Could you please assist me further?

Q: How can I register my labor case with the Abu Dhabi labor court once I am outside the UAE? I already have an MOHRE letter with all details of my claim (some of the details are not correct) like the amount I want to claim. I believe this can be amended once the case is registered in court.

Q: My salary has been deducted by the management. I understand that I can complain to MoHRE and go to court but I know the process could take 6-18 months in court. My queries: 1) My visa and contract are expiring. Can I go back to India and continue the litigation? 2) For the bank accounts, if I have to close them, then how does the court ensure I get the payment?
