Q: I am an Indian Muslim woman seeking a divorce with my Indian Muslim husband here in Dubai. We have a 2.5-year old daughter.
1. My husband is saying that since he is the guardian and he will provide accommodation for my daughter (and me), my parents will not be allowed to live in that house when they come to visit me. Is this true?
2. My husband is also saying that if I relocate to a different country, he will get the custody of my daughter.

Alimony for the wife upon filing divorce by the husband

2
Q: I got married in Seychelles and we attested our marriage in Dubai. My husband had an affair and so he is divorcing me.
I don’t want to get him in trouble by declaring this but I want my rights to alimony. I don’t have kids with him and I am employed (UAE residence visa).
How much and how long is he supposed to support me?

Mother's reunification with daughters while there is a divorce process

2
Q: Hi,
I am a Muslim mother of two daughters, aged 3 and 6. I am in the process of a divorce and my husband has taken my daughters away from me, despite my legal custody of them.
I reached out to the authorities, but when I saw my daughters one month later, they refused to come with me.
My husband and his childless aunt have manipulated them. I have a good record as a good mother, I work, provide for my daughters, and they have great school records. We participate in many activities.
The father is a drug addict and has been in psychiatric care several times (a report will be provided as the court has officially requested it). Additionally, he has not paid for the children's welfare since 2020 and there is an arrest warrant against him.
He left the marital home 2 and a half years ago.
What should I do to get my daughters back?
The aunt is also taking pictures and videos and sending them to social media without my consent as the legal custodian.
Can I sue her for this?

Hello,
I am a manager of an LLC company with 25% share. In February 2003, a partner joined the company with a 25% share.
After two months, he didn’t like the company and left. After two years, we did not know where he was. We just heard that he left to Tunisia before his visa expired.
What to do with his 25% share, please?

What does Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022 mean with exempting supervisory roles from the provisions of the Labour Law? 0
Dear colleagues,
According to Article 15 of Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022 (“Executive Regulations”), employees occupying supervisory roles are exempt from the provisions of the Labour Law and the Executive Regulations in relation to maximum working hours only if they possess powers equivalent to those of the employer.
Could you please clarify what is meant by "if they possess powers equivalent to those of the employer"?
Currently, we have heads of departments who report to the directors. Will they be eligible for overtime?
Also, those who have a POA to sign contracts will they be eligible?
Or, those who temporarily replace the CEO while he is out, will they be eligible?

View allDisputing tenant's refusal to accept old landlord's rent increase notice 0
Hi,
We recently bought a villa in Dubai. We are looking for an advocate for legal advice.
Even though the old owner gave the tenant a 90-day notice about the new rent, the tenant is not agreeing to the notice because it didn't come from us.
Since the renewal is in October and we bought the property in September, we don't have 90 days to notify the tenant of the new rent.
The tenant agreed to the new rent in an email with the old owner 90 days ago. Can we dispute this?

We had an accident. Can I claim the treatment costs paid to hospital from the insurance? 0
My family and I had an accident. The incident occurred the very next day of their arrival in the UAE on a residence entry permit and their visa//health insurance was still in process.
With gods grace, everyone was discharged from the hospital on the 3rd day after many tests and keeping us under observation. We were slapped with a hefty bill as my family was not holding any health insurance.
What are the chances that I could claim the medical expenses through the vehicle insurance, as it covers co-passengers as well?

What can I do if a company hired me then changed their mind? 0
I am working in a company and their management is the worst. They made an interview in India and called me.
After calling me here, they again made interviews and made me work for 1 month. And now, they're telling me I am not capable of work and they are mentally torturing me.
I have given them 1.5 lack in office in India and here they are not paying me any salary. I am going into depression as I am not getting any solutions.
The only solution coming to my mind is a suicide, I don’t have any other options left. I have taken money in interest and people are daily coming to my house for money.
Please guide me in a proper way on what I can do.

Query:
What happens to the company and other partners, when one partner dies with or without a will?
Can the remaining partners continue to operate the bank account or it will be frozen?
Are the operations of the company frozen? Can the remaining partners carry on the business as usual, buy, rent, and sell the properties?

Will this affect the other businesses of the remaining 9 partners in any way?
