Working hours reduction during Ramadan

Hi.

We're working for 10 hours on regular days, with 30 minutes break. Our schedule for normal days is 10:30 am - 2:00 pm and we'll come back at 5:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

For Ramadan, it's still the same - 10 hours. Our employer issued a working schedule of 11 am - 9 pm with a break of around 30 minutes in it. Is this legal?

If not, what can we do with this?

Thanks,

N

Dear Client,

Thanks for your query

I hope you are fine.

In this situation, during normal days you should ask for overtime from your employer.

During Ramadan, your employer should follow the guidelines of the government. It's illegal. This is a violation of article 65 of the labour law. You can make a complaint by calling on 80060.

For further information, you can write an email to us or call Whatsapp. We have a good team of lawyers to handle all kinds of cases.

I am happy to help you. You can fix a personal meeting at our office.

Thanks and regards

Abdul Wahied
