After I returned to India, I received an email from HR stating that the Qatari sponsor has filed an absconding case, a civil case, and a criminal case against me with the Ministry of Interior in Qatar. Now my question is, can I travel to Dubai on a work visa? Will there be any issue entering Dubai assuming that the Qatari sponsor has filed the said cases against me? Awaiting your response, H. Hello, Good afternoon! My friend works as a cleaner for a cleaning company and she now wants to resign with a 30-day notice. However, she has not completed the two-year contract and has only served for 16 months. Additionally, she has not taken any vacation leave. The sad part is that when she signed the offer letter, she did not receive a copy of it and only signed it. I would be very grateful if you could let me know if she would have to pay or if her boss has the right to not accept the resignation if the notice period mentioned in the offer letter is more than a month. I am seeking a law firm/agency in Dubai that can provide the services to draft a Merchant Agreement template contractually, according to our company business model.

My company is located in Dubai as an LLC. We have two shareholders, 1. UAE national shareholder with 95% 2. A foreign shareholder with 5% The UAE national shareholder transferred this 5% shares to the foreign shareholder through a share sales agreement, which was notarized at the notary public in Dubai and submitted it to the DED to amend the trade license etc. This happened in 2014. But till this date, the foreign shareholder did not pay the value of 5% shares to the UAE national shareholder or to the company. Also, the foreign shareholder was not actively involved with the company's operation and as per Article 17 of the Commercial Companies Law: "2. The partner may not contribute in work rendered unless he is a joint partner. The contribution of the partner may not consist of his having reputation or influence." Under these circumstances, is it possible for the UAE national shareholder to request from the court to cancel the 5% shares of the foreign shareholder and transfer back to him?

Hi. Could I please get some advice on the following: I own a company in the UAE, It is an LLC. I am a partner and I have a local partner holding 51%. We have a separate contract that gives me all ownership. I am sponsored through my company. I would like to cancel my work visa with my own company and be sponsored by another company to work for them. My company is run and managed by employees. My question is, am I able to cancel my working visa, be employed by another company but retain ownership of my own business? I will not be taking a salary from my business.
