The grace period after canceling an employment visa during COVID 19 pandemic

My employment visa is expiring on 3rd April 2020 and I want to cancel my visa.

How much grace period will I get in this COVID 19 situation while there are no flights to India?

Dear questioner,

The notice period should be as mentioned in your employment contract, so if it is one month, it would be so, if it is 2 months, it would be also 2 months.

This issue is not related to the current situation.

Dear questioner,

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, the government will waive any overstay fines you incur if you surpass your 30 day grace period and are unable to travel home due to travel restrictions.

Dear questioner,

Usually, after cancellation, you can stay in the UAE for 30 days.

But considering the current situation with COVID-19, the government announced that they will waive any overstay fines that you might incur if you are not able to leave the UAE because of the travel restrictions.

Best Regards!
