Resignation in the probation period during Corona-virus pandemic

Hello,

I would like to ask you a few questions regarding my resignation. I started to work as a filing clerk in a company in Dubai from 2nd Nov. 2019.

I am in my probation period now (6 months). I am planning to resign on 2nd April (5 months) so I can serve another 30 days. After 30 days, it will be exactly 6 months. My contract is unlimited.

1. Can I resign without any problem?

2. Because of Coronavirus, I will not most likely work all April. My employer will take it as a paid vacation. Will I also get paid for April (my last month) since I already gave him my resignation?

3. Who is going to pay for visa cancellation?

Thank you!

Greetings,

First: Regarding resigning without problems, it is better to wait for a full 6 months and then submit your resignation to avoid any problems with the employer or the labor office.

Second: Regarding the salary for the month of April, the law requires your approval to reduce your salary or not to obtain it for a period according to the recent amendments in the labor law. It is better to reach an agreement with the employer regarding this.

Third: Concerning the costs of canceling the visa, it is according to the agreement between the two parties to the contract.
