Liability of a driver for hitting pedestrians causing death and injury

My father is in Dubai. Today he accidentally hit two men and one of them got dead instantly. The other one is in a hospital under critical condition.
I have lost contact with them since then. Being his son, I'm worried about him a lot. So I wanted to know what will happen to him next.

He will be charged for the accident and if he found guilty, then he will be punished by traffic court, it may be jail and fine.
If he is in prison now, you should apply for his bail, generally, bail will be granted.
As you mentioned, he killed a person in an accident therefore, he has to pay blood money which is AED 200,000 Maximum, and that person also can go for a civil compensation claim for damage.
The injured person can also go for a civil compensation claim.
If your father has car insurance, then no need to worry; the insurance company will pay from his side.
