Identifying the grace period after holding visa cancellation

Dear Madam,

My visa has already expired on 10th Feb and I asked my employer to hold my visa cancellation till 29th Feb. They agreed. So I want to know what will be my grace period to stay in the UAE?

Is it till the 10th of March or will I get a grace period of 30 days after visa cancellation from the employer, which is 28th March?

Kindly clarify!

Thank you!

If your visa expired on the 10th, then you have 30 days to renew the visa or leave by the 29th day. The employer CANNOT hold an expired visa.

The UAE Government allows residents a grace period of 30 days to stay in the UAE after the expiry of their visas.

Renewing your residence visa:

AED 25 per day during the first 6 months (180 days)

AED 50 per day during the second 6 months (180 days)

AED 100 per day after passing a year and more.
