The residency visa expired while looking for a job. What to do?
Hi,
I am in the grace period of 30 days after the resident visa expiry. My visa was valid till 30/08/2022 (Ajman residency visa). From 3rd October 2022 onwards, the government of the UAE is implementing 3 month grace period policy for residence visa expiry.
My question is:
Will I fall under this category after paying penalty for the few days from 29th Sept - 3rd October (Because my grace period will be over)? Or shall I pursue a visit visa as I am looking for a new employer?
Dear questioner,
You should change your status within the permitted period after the cancellation of your visa by preferring another visa.
The said mentioned extension of time is not yet implemented and you are not eligible for it as your visa has been already canceled.
