Hi,

Wondering if someone can advise me, please!

What is the commission to be paid on a furnished villa when the rent is 66,000?

Dubai real estate brokerage is subject to Internal Law No. 85 of 2006 regulating the registration of real estate brokerage in the Emirate of Dubai (the real estate law).

It is imperative to know that there are no laws that determine broker fees in Dubai, which means that they are subject to negotiation.

Fees may be determined according to the "prevailing custom," according to Article 26 and Article 27 of the Brokerage Law, which stipulate the following:

Article (26): The brokerage contract must be written and the names of the contracting parties defined, the property description and the terms of the brokerage. The contract must be registered in the real estate registry.

Article (27): The fees of the broker are determined by agreement, and if there is no agreement, the fees are determined according to the prevailing custom.

In general, the fees for a Dubai real estate broker are 2% of the property price unless the broker agrees otherwise.
