Settlement of a bounced cheque to issue a new employment visa
1
Q: There was a case filed against me in Muraqabat Police Station for bouncing cheque.
I was not able to pay my loan for more than 4 months as I lost my job and unable to pay. I informed the bank and negotiated with them, but they want me to pay at least half of the loan amount.
My problem now is that I got a job offer but my new employer cannot issue an employment visa for me as I am in the blacklist status.
My previous employer also cannot cancel my visa, they were able to cancel my labour card and already beyond the grace period of 30 days.
My previous employer told me that they will present my passport to the visa section and file an absconding case against me.
Please advise if they can really push filing an absconding case against me?
What shall I do regarding the bounced cheque so that my new employer can process an employment visa for me?

Clearing police case and removal of ban in the UAE
49
Q: Good day!
I have a loan and credit card with a bank in the UAE which I have defaulted on the payments for the last 8 months because I am unemployed, and currently in India.
My security cheque amounted AED 35,000 was deposited and bounced, and now I have a police case and a ban on my name.
I got a new job offer and my employer is not able to fix an employment visa for me because of this police case and ban. I tried to get a settlement deal with the NBFC, but it is not ending up with a good deal.
So how can I overcome this issue to clear the police case?
Is there any agency that can handle this on behalf of me to clear the police case and ban in court?
Kindly advise

Bank filed a civil case over a loan: Better to settle with the bank or in court? 0
Good day, Sir,
I have received a message from the Dubai Court stating that a bank has filed a civil case against me. The loan has been pending since February 2019.
I cleared the cheque bounce case earlier with a court fine in 2019. I am looking forward to a minimum settlement plan with the bank. The outstanding amount was around 70,000 AED, and now the message is for 115,000 AED.
What will be the best way for me to proceed: approaching the bank or dealing with it in court?
Best regards,

Is it legal for my employer to withhold my salary until I leave the country or change status? 0
Hello,
I have given my notice, and my last day is July 24, but the employer is refusing to pay my salary; even the salary for June. Is this even legal?
He claims I'll get everything at once, which is after leaving the country or changing status.

Demanding that an employee pay for visa charges a year after resigning 0
Dear Lawyers,
I worked at a bakeshop here in Dubai. I resigned exactly one year ago. Now they want me to pay for visa charges, as stated in the offer letter.
If I cannot pay for the charges, my employer will claim financial loss due to the damages, estimated to be at least 7,000 AED.
What should I do about this? My monthly salary is only 2,800 AED.

If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country? 0
Hi.
One of my friends joined a Telegram group. They said, "We will transfer some amount to your account, and your task is to transfer this amount to another account. Once the task is completed, you will get 30 or 50 AED per task."
He completed 3 to 4 tasks, but he realized it was not good, so he stopped. After one week, when he opened his account, it was blocked, and the bank said, "We are conducting an investigation; after this, we will let you know."
After some days, he had an accident and went to his home country. He then received a call from a landline number, which was from the Abu Dhabi police station.
They said, "We have received a complaint against you; come to our investigation department." However, due to his surgery and treatment, he could not go.
After some time, his bank account was reopened, and he did not receive any further calls. I want to know, if he comes back to the UAE or goes to any other GCC country, will he face any problems?
If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country?
Please advise!

Do I need a license to open an Etsy shop?
If so, which license do I need to sell my products online, including UAE and worldwide?
How much would it cost me?

How can we locate a person with an ongoing legal case? 0
Hello,
I am seeking your legal advice regarding a friend who was previously imprisoned in Abu Dhabi. His case there is now closed, but he has another ongoing case in Dubai.
Currently, we have lost contact with him and are unsure of his whereabouts. How can we check where he is or access any other legal facility?
Are there legal procedures to locate a person with an ongoing case?
What steps should we take to get more information about his status and legal position?
