Q: Hi,
I had a treatment with a machine called HIFU to treat the wrinkles on my forehead, the treatment was so painful, and immediately after, I had 2 large depression on both sides on my forehead and a vertical line in the middle.
The company denied their mistake and they are ignoring my calls since the 26th of July 2018. Please note that I was not given any consent form to sign.
After consulting a dermatologist, he confirmed that I had an atrophy fat melting and muscle oedema due to this treatment and I have a medical report.
I have taken a picture before and immediately after.
Kindly let me know what to do.
Regards,

Medical negligence and its remedies in Dubai
2
Q: Dental malpractice:
My daughter had a root canal done by a specialist pediatric dentist at a major hospital in Dubai and final reports and doctor claimed it was completed.
After that, the final payment was made and we were given a form for an insurance claim that everything was completed.
However, after going to another establishment, X-rays showed the root canal was not completed and the child is required to go through the whole procedure again causing mental agony and pain.
My child is not willing to go to any dentist much alone the same dentist because of the traumatic events and pain she endured of the 1st root canal which was supposedly done over 3 sittings.
I contacted the 1st hospital and they agreed in writing that it was a mistake.
The doctor also has called me personally to apologize and he would carry out the procedure including additional services free of cost.
My child is 3 years old and traumatized and unwilling to go to any dentist.
What are my options to claim?

Claim against a plastic surgeon and clinic after a plastic surgery mistake

0
Q: Hi.
I have a statement from the Dubai Health Authority stating there has been malpractice in my case with my plastic surgeon and I have the right to be compensated.
The surgeon is currently in the US and I suppose no longer has a practice license in Dubai but the medical clinic is still in Dubai.
In this case, who should compensate me for the mistake; is it the doctor or the clinic?
I have emailed the clinic with my official statement but they have not responded.

Suing a vet clinic for a mistake resulted in losing the eyesight of a dog
3
Q: Hello Sir/Madam,
I did a wart removal surgery for my dog in a vet clinic in Sharjah for her eyelid but due to the negligence of the surgeon but the vet did not remove the sutures so it rubs on her eye causing an ulcer.
When I took the dog to the clinic, they put cortisone drops in her eye resulting in a melting ulcer and the dog lost her eyesight. Later, I found from another vet that the surgery was done wrongly so her eyelashes rub on her eyeball causing pain and damage. But putting cortisone drops made it worst.
My dog underwent another surgery to save her eye which costed me to fix her and as per the second vet, the eye damage is permanent with a scar but her eyeball was saved from bursting due to pressure.
Now every month, I need to take her for treatment and her eyelashes are growing inwards causing pain and the damage is lifelong. As an owner, I'm sad for my dog who lost her vision due to the vet mistake.
Therefore, I want to know can I sue the clinic for negligence and medical error.

How much time does a case of medical malpractice take if all reports are ready?
5
Q: Hello, Good Day,
My wife went through nose surgery a few years ago in a reputed hospital in Dubai. We were not satisfied with the surgery and we filed a complaint with Dubai Health Authority.
After initial investigations, they found there is a medical error and issued a report to us. However, the doctor went in appeal to The Higher Committee For Medical Liability in MOH.
And now, this committee came up with a final decision stating "Doctor did not comply with the accepted medical procedure and to this medical error, the patient is suffering and have to go for another surgery"
As we have both final reports one from DHA and the other from MOH, we are ready to file a lawsuit. But prior to that, we need to know the estimated timeframe and cost associated with the lawsuit.
Thank you
F. S.

Medical treatment provided to patients does not always achieve the desired results, and sometimes it may lead to catastrophic consequences that cannot be remedied. This is due to several factors, some of these factors are related to the therapist or to the patient himself, or even related to God's will. It was, therefore, necessary for the legislator to intervene and develop the laws governing medical malpractice cases and set the limitations of liability for the therapist in such cases.

If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country? 0
Hi.
One of my friends joined a Telegram group. They said, "We will transfer some amount to your account, and your task is to transfer this amount to another account. Once the task is completed, you will get 30 or 50 AED per task."
He completed 3 to 4 tasks, but he realized it was not good, so he stopped. After one week, when he opened his account, it was blocked, and the bank said, "We are conducting an investigation; after this, we will let you know."
After some days, he had an accident and went to his home country. He then received a call from a landline number, which was from the Abu Dhabi police station.
They said, "We have received a complaint against you; come to our investigation department." However, due to his surgery and treatment, he could not go.
After some time, his bank account was reopened, and he did not receive any further calls. I want to know, if he comes back to the UAE or goes to any other GCC country, will he face any problems?
If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country?
Please advise!

Getting a new employment visa while a cheque bounce case is being processed 0
Hi All,
I have an existing criminal "cheque bounce" case under my name for dishonoring loan payments. I'm also a victim of unpaid salaries and gratuity from the previous employer.
However, I have reached a stalemate in negotiating with the bank as they are not interested in accepting the money I could offer in the interim despite having a clear understanding of my predicament.
Finally, I have an offer from a company after all these months and I'm anticipating to accept this offer but I'm yet to resolve the criminal case!
Since the bank is not willing to negotiate, I've planned to pay the criminal case removal fee or fine to the Dubai Police. I know that the bank would immediately proceed with a civil case should that happen.
My question is how long does it take to file a civil case? And can they initiate a travel ban without appeal while filing the civil case in court?
Will it affect my capacity to get a new employment visa stamped and work in the UAE while the civil case is active?

How to legally receive income from crypto trading without raising any concerns? 0
Hello,
Hope this message finds you well!
I am seeking legal advice regarding my financial situation as a forex trader living in the UAE under a sponsor work visa. Currently, I do not work for any company and earn my income primarily through cryptocurrency trading.
However, I would like to ensure that I can legally receive and withdraw approximately AED 15,000 per month into my UAE bank account without raising any suspicion from the bank.
My main concerns are:
I am a forex trader and earn money through cryptocurrency, which I then exchange into fiat currency (AED). How can I ensure that the process of depositing this income into my bank account is transparent and compliant with UAE laws to avoid any issues with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations?
Since I do not have a formal job or salary, how should I go about documenting or explaining my income to the bank to avoid any red flags regarding the source of my funds?
Are there any specific steps I need to take to ensure my deposits are compliant?
