Q: Hello.
I just want to ask about my status in the UAE. I left Dubai without the permission of my boss because of a family emergency.
I left Dubai 3 months ago (December 2019) and as per PRO they (employer) already filed the absconding case on me.
Now I want to come back to the UAE. Will I have a problem at the airport?

Q: I am currently working for a free zone company in DAFZA. The job is not going well for me and I would like to leave. I signed a three-year contract and it has been nine months so far.
My contract states that I need to give one month notice but my employer wants me to stay for two months. He says it is company policy not to accept the breach of contract compensation, hence I must serve two months without pay.
I am supposed to pay him for three months half pay, and he is refusing to allow me to pay that and serve one month notice. I am even thinking of just absconding and going back to my country. Will I get a labour ban and immigration ban?
I received an offer from one of our clients as well, but my contract has a non-competition clause. Does this apply, given that the two companies are in different industries, one is a supplier of products and the other is a consultancy service provider?
I am considering going back to my home country as my employer is being unreasonable on the 2 months notice.

How to cancel an employee who went on an emergency leave and never came back?

Q: My employee went to India for emergency leave without informing us (we came to know only after calling him why he is not at work and admit that he is already in India).
He said he will come back last Feb 12 but up until now, he did not show up and it's been almost 1.5 months. He has under 1 year of service, his visa started last August 2022 and his leave was last Jan 6, 2023.
How are we able to cancel him and what is the procedure?

Q: Hi Sir,
Please guide me on how to lift the Dubai absconding ban imposed on me in 2013 as I had to rush back to my home country for a medical emergency and my employers put me absconding.
Now it's 10 years since I have been outside Dubai. On my special request, my Dubai employers took a third-party support to lift the ban but the case got reversed in the last step as Dubai Immigration was not accepting cases of expatriates outside the country.
My huge amount submitted to Dubai employers also did not result in anything. I am willing to take legal help now so kindly guide me on how to proceed.

Hello,
My employer fired me under Article 44 for not showing up for work for 7 days in a row. But that’s not the case at all. I was sick and the management was aware and they let me go.
I went to another country to get treatment because it’s expensive in Dubai. My employer did not pay me my salary for the month I worked and fired me.
I have official sick leave from another country and there is correspondence where my employer sent me to another country for treatment.
The problem is that the employer says that he will take compensation for the training that was specified in the contract, but I did not undergo training at all; I immediately started work from the first day of work and there was no training.
Does my employer have the right to charge me such a fee and not pay my salary?

How to cancel the MoU to buy an apartment with the broker if the bank did not approve the loan? 0
Hi,
I have a situation where I signed an MoU and gave my security deposit to the seller's agent. However later, the bank valuation of the property is lower than the selling price.
On my MoU, it has a clause that “the buyer has a right to cancel/negotiate if the bank valuation is not the same as MoU.” I tried to negotiate, however, we didn't agree on the price so I asked to cancel.
Now the agent is threatening me that they will not cancel the MoU and that will deposit my cheque. Later I also came to know that the person I am dealing with is not the same person whose name is mentioned as a broker in the MoU.
The agent I am dealing with is constantly messaging me with threats. I decided not to speak to him and instead, I wrote an email to the broker whose name is mentioned on the MoU but received no response.
I am on a very tight timeline as I need to vacate my apartment in 3 weeks, I found another unit but I don't know if I can pursue this while the initial MoU still not canceled.
Please, I need advice.
