Q: Having just returned from a family holiday in Dubai, I need some advice on how to deal with an incident involving the hotel where stayed and my 7-year-old daughter being injured by the neglect from staff at the water park located within the hotel grounds. My daughter has suffered 2 fractures to the nose.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Liability of a restaurant for injury caused to customer
0
Q: Hi.
We had an incident at a restaurant's outdoor event for families.
At their food stalls, there was nowhere any signs that the stalls are hot on the front customer-facing side or even covered.
Kids were running around and accidentally our daughter touched one panel and got a severe 2nd-degree burn. This happened on Friday and we have been to hospital each day to change the dressing and cut off skin.
I wonder if there is any legal action I can take against the restaurant, and what might the outcome be?
Thanks

Q: I am staying in a building in Al Nahdha, Dubai. The front glass door was broke 3 days back.
According to the building owner and security, my son was standing near the door and it happened because of him.
They say that I have to pay for the damages or they will refer it to the court.
My son is 6 years old, and I would like to know if I am liable to pay the cost of the damages.

How long can a travel ban last in the UAE without opening a case?

0
Q: How long can a travel ban last in the UAE without opening a case?
The case was an inappropriate language with students. The school conducted an investigation and I was exonerated.
THE KHDA (school inspector body) conducted a 4-hour written report on the case stating "no crime". The students also wrote a handwritten statement.
This contradicts my accuser's (the father's) statement. The police were not interested in this evidence. Now, the police want a witness student to come to the police station to give a statement.
No parent will allow their child to go to the police station nor the school will allow this. Can this case remain open forever without this third witness coming forward?

Personal injury involves an injury sustained physically, emotionally and mentally. The injured person is entitled to claim damages where he has suffered an injury due to the other person’s wrongdoing. The victim may file a case against the person, who is found guilty in a criminal case or his insurance company if the defaulter has secured himself by insurance. The UAE civil law allows filing a compensation claim for injury damages.

Getting a new employment visa while a cheque bounce case is being processed 0
Hi All,
I have an existing criminal "cheque bounce" case under my name for dishonoring loan payments. I'm also a victim of unpaid salaries and gratuity from the previous employer.
However, I have reached a stalemate in negotiating with the bank as they are not interested in accepting the money I could offer in the interim despite having a clear understanding of my predicament.
Finally, I have an offer from a company after all these months and I'm anticipating to accept this offer but I'm yet to resolve the criminal case!
Since the bank is not willing to negotiate, I've planned to pay the criminal case removal fee or fine to the Dubai Police. I know that the bank would immediately proceed with a civil case should that happen.
My question is how long does it take to file a civil case? And can they initiate a travel ban without appeal while filing the civil case in court?
Will it affect my capacity to get a new employment visa stamped and work in the UAE while the civil case is active?

If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country? 0
Hi.
One of my friends joined a Telegram group. They said, "We will transfer some amount to your account, and your task is to transfer this amount to another account. Once the task is completed, you will get 30 or 50 AED per task."
He completed 3 to 4 tasks, but he realized it was not good, so he stopped. After one week, when he opened his account, it was blocked, and the bank said, "We are conducting an investigation; after this, we will let you know."
After some days, he had an accident and went to his home country. He then received a call from a landline number, which was from the Abu Dhabi police station.
They said, "We have received a complaint against you; come to our investigation department." However, due to his surgery and treatment, he could not go.
After some time, his bank account was reopened, and he did not receive any further calls. I want to know, if he comes back to the UAE or goes to any other GCC country, will he face any problems?
If someone has a case in the UAE, can they travel to another GCC country?
Please advise!

Do I need a license to open an Etsy shop?
If so, which license do I need to sell my products online, including UAE and worldwide?
How much would it cost me?

How can we locate a person with an ongoing legal case? 0
Hello,
I am seeking your legal advice regarding a friend who was previously imprisoned in Abu Dhabi. His case there is now closed, but he has another ongoing case in Dubai.
Currently, we have lost contact with him and are unsure of his whereabouts. How can we check where he is or access any other legal facility?
Are there legal procedures to locate a person with an ongoing case?
What steps should we take to get more information about his status and legal position?
