Forcing the employer to cancel the visa after termination

Good evening,

My employer sent me a 'stop working' letter on 23.10.2019 awaiting investigation on wrongdoings in the company.

My visa expired on 13.11.2019 and they haven't decided either to renew or cancel my visa. Please note that no one has interviewed me, investigated with me nor interrogated me about anything.

The salary of November 2019 should have been paid as per Tawafuq legal department. They also advised me that the stop working letter is only valid for 10 days.

Would appreciate your feedback

Regards, NIK

I would advise you to file a case of receiving your dues and cancellation. Once filed in the court you have nothing to worry about.

Good day,

Do you mean filing a legal case against them in the court?

Regarding my visa, what do you recommend?

4 Dec 2019, 10:32

Your visa already expired and they have one month to renew and you have the same period; after that, YOU have to pay the fine if you overstay.

This is a catch 22 situation. Ask Tawafuq the letter to file the case in the court to avoid overstay fine.

One last question and please explain what is catch 22 situation.

For meeting, AED 1000 is payable for 30 minutes.
