Settling a bank loan to clear cases and travel ban

The cheque amount was for 1 million, which was the initial loan amount, however, the unpaid amount is only 300,000.

If you can show that the unpaid amount is only 300,000, the Court will reverse the judgement to a fine of about 30,000 to 40,000 and the case will be closed.

You won't have to pay 300,000 to the Bank.

If I understand you correctly, the payment of the fines will remove the judgement.

But could the bank still come after me in a civil case and still try to collect the unpaid amount (300,000)?

They can file a civil case if they haven't already filed. But if you are not staying here and have no properties here, they will not be able to execute the judgement.

I do have a mortgage which is current. I want to be able to come in and out of Dubai for work purposes.

If I pay the fine and still they have a civil case, Am I still subject to police arrest and travel ban at the airport?

In a civil case, the travel ban is not automatic. They have to file a separate application for that. There will be no police arrest in a civil case unless the matter goes into Execution.

However, if you intend to travel through Dubai or come to Dubai, then it is better to close the loan.
