Claiming labor dues by a physician who is denied his rights while others got theirs
I am a general physician. I'm denied my annual leave salary, and public holidays with no compensation or compensatory time-off, undue salary deductions without any justification.
All the other staff (total -7 people in the clinic) are given all the amounts properly. What are my legal possibilities?
Dear questioner,
You have the right to file a labor complaint with MOHRE and claim all your legal entitlements including the leave salary, overtime pay for working during the holidays, any pending unpaid salaries in addition to claiming compensation of 3-month salary for the arbitrary dismissal as the UAE labor law considers the above violations by the employer a very clear offense towards the employment relationship and a way to push the employees to resign.
You should not resign before you register your labor complaint of course.
We can assist you in filing and registering the complaint and to guide you on what you should do in the future for any possible litigation.
Regards,
