Rights of an employee for withdrawing a job offer after starting

I had signed a job offer letter (internal contract) from one employer in Abu Dhabi on 8 Oct 2019 and I joined the same day.

On 24 Oct 2019, I got a telephone call from the employer saying that they had terminated me without proper reason.

When I am asking for my due salary, they are not responding. I have declined some of the job opportunities while I was working with them.

I would like to file a complaint against them for my due salary with compensation for the loses they made in my career.

Is the internal job offer letter legally valid in Abu Dhabi?

Kindly note that I don't have a work permit and I worked with them from 08 Oct 2019 to 24th Oct 2019.

Kindly advise

Dear questioner,

If you have a proper job offer letter on company letterhead, then definitely you can initiate a complaint with MOL to claim your dues.

Kindly contact us on the phone for a detailed discussion or write to us at our email for further assistance.

Hi Ms Maryam,

Yes. I have a proper job offer letter on the company letterhead. Kindly confirm that the internal job offer letter from the employer is legally valid or not.

Hello.

Please note that working without first obtaining the proper visa status is illegal and can lead to imprisonment, fines and/or deportation.

The penalties apply to both, the employer and the employee.

Hi Mr Elias

I am on husband sponsorship and I have given all my documents to the said employer for processing the work permit when I joined with them.

I thought that they are processing the work permit. Unexpectedly they terminated me without proper reason and prior notice.

Kindly advise, can I do anything to get my due salary with the compensation from the employer as the employer is not responding to my emails?

They are supposed to pay you for the days you worked, they can terminate you during probation without assigning reasons.

Hi Madam NIkhat,

I had worked with them from 08 Oct 2019 to 17 Oct 2019 and 18th Oct was Friday.

On 19th Oct 2019 I got message from them no need to come to report to the work until get further notice and I stayed at home.

Then they informed me by telephone on 24th Oct 2019, they cancelled my job offer letter due to some new development in their company and don't want to hire me

I asked them if this decision was based on any mistakes from my side. They said no, nothing wrong from me.

I asked them to pay my due salary but they are not responding. Kindly advise, Shall I file a complaint against them?

Yes, if you have proof that you worked.

Madam.

Kindly advise what kind of proof. They sent Whatsapp message to me on 19th Oct 2019 that the old Sr accountant was on emergency for 3 days and stopped all office works and no need to report to the work until getting a further update from them.

That message was sent by the old Sr accountant (I was the replacement of her).

Then I contacted the company for the clarification of this and express my availability on those days in the absence of the old Sr accountant.

Then the owner of the company sent me Whatsapp that I have to wait until get further notice. Shall I consider all these for the proof of my employment?

Kindly advise.
