The way of lifting a travel ban after resolving a civil case
A person has overstayed in the UAE due to a travel ban for a civil case which is now resolved.
How does the person then rectify their immigration status and how long should the process take?

Dear Questioner,
Please let me know what do you mean with "the case is resolved"? did you pay the fine imposed by the prosecutor or you reach a settlement agreement with the other party?
In case there was a fine imposed against you, you need to go back to the police station where the case has been filed and submit the letter provided by the public prosecutor.
I advise you to approach also the CID department to make sure your records are updated in their system.
In case there was just a settlement agreement between parties, you need to submit the settlement agreement and the release letter issued by the other party to the police.
Once you submit the letters to the police, you need to approach the CID department to make sure their system is updated too.
In case you need my support all this process, please feel free to contact me at my email.
