What happens when the bank files a police case to recover a credit card loan?
Dear sir,
I failed to pay a credit card loan to a bank and they are threatening me to file a police case.
They keep calling my manager at my company. Can I know what will happen if they make that case against me?
Can I file a case against them?
It will help if there is a phone number to explain more.

Dear questioner,
In case the bank files a criminal complaint against you, your name will be on the UAE blacklist and you cannot exit the UAE.
Can you please tell me how much is the credit card amount? If the amount is less than AED 50,000, there will be a fine imposed under your name, of AED 2,000.
In case the amount is between AED 50,000 and AED 100,000, the fine will be around AED 5,000.
Once the fine is issued under your name, I suggest you hire a lawyer to pay the fine on your behalf and to clean the police and CID records.
Please note that even if you pay the fine, the bank has the right to open a civil case against you to recover the funds.
Kindly contact us via phone or email for further assistance.
