Q: Hello
I am writing to ask about a civil case, I recently went on maternity leave and my company does not pay a salary in this period.
The bank filed a criminal case so I was stopped at the airport on arrival and processed at the police station.
The next day I went in front of a judge who asked if I had the money to pay at that time or pay a fine, so I paid the AED 10000 fine.
It's been almost 3 months and the bank keeps increasing my debt (my account is on minus).
Question is, should I go to court again to ask them to get the bank to issue a clearance certificate or what should I do?

Travel ban clearance after paying fine for bounced cheque

Q: Hi Sir,
My credit card cheque was bounced and I got in jail and paid the fine after the public prosecution hearing, but they did not give me a clearance. They just let me out in the jail.
I would like to ask if I have a travel ban. The bank keeps sending me and for the 8th time that my cheque was bounced again.
Is it also possible that they can repeatedly bounce my cheque? They also threatened me that they will file a civil case a week after the other case was finished.

Failure to pay a personal loan and consequences of the civil case

Q: I am an engineer and I was working in a construction company in Dubai where I am based. I have issued a cheque of AED 150,000 for a personal loan with a bank.
Due to the lack of work and the company terminated me for 2 months, I am suffering from my personal loan and the bank filed a case now.
5 months back, they filed a case which I don't know for a travel ban and I was in jailed 4 and half days. After that, I paid AED 10000 to Dubai court after they released me.
I heard that civil cases now are not punishable again by jail sentence like before. Is it true?

View allClaiming compensation for mild concussion because of a vehicle crash 0
Hello,
I was being transferred to Dubai airport by an Emirati chauffeur who crashed into the back of another vehicle. I continued on with business flight to West Africa, but had double vision briefly, continuous headaches and stiffening of neck and back.
Upon arrival, I asked to be seen by a company doctor who diagnosed me with a mild concussion and I was ordered to take bed rest which impacted my timetable.
The headaches continued for 3 days, though I returned to my itinerary on the next day after an additional examination.
Can you please tell me if I can claim compensation and what is the process?

Filing a case for higher maintenance and possibility of travel ban 0
I'm an Australian non-Muslim expat resident for 10 years. My wife is the same, as are our three children, ages 19,16 (girls) and 11 (boy).
I have opened a case for divorce in Australia, and the hearing is in November. My wife wants to take me to court in the UAE regarding child maintenance.
I currently pay 35% of my monthly salary to my wife for child support. She wants more. I am due to leave the country next July permanently.
If she opens a court case, will that stop me from leaving? Has she got a case for more money?
