If I win a civil case, will there be consequences for the other party besides a travel ban?

Dear Questioner,

What is the punishment for a losing party in a civil case?

I want to file a civil case. However, if I do so and I receive a judgment in my favor, will there be any consequences for the other party besides a travel ban?

Should I just avoid pursuing a civil case and forget about my rights?

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.

In civil cases, the consequences for the losing party include complying with the court's judgment, which may involve financial compensation or other remedies.

Dear Inquirer,

We are pleased to serve you and address your inquiries.

There are no penalties for the person against whom a civil judgment has been issued. After the judgment is executed, the only consequence they may face is a travel ban.

In rare cases, an arrest warrant may be issued if the creditor proves the debtor's financial capability to pay the debt and shows that the debtor is evading payment by transferring money to avoid execution.

We recommend protecting your rights by filing a civil lawsuit, which could lead to a mutually agreeable settlement.

If anything else is required, don’t hesitate to contact us via email or call our offices in Dubai or Sharjah.

Dear Questioner,

Apart from the travel ban, you can recover the amount from his assets.

If he has a job here, then you can claim the amount from his salary as well. The court can issue a verdict in your favor which will hold his salary.

If you need further clarification, you may contact us.
