Q: Dear Sir / Madam, I have been working here in Hamariyah free zone company as an Accountant Executive for the last one year. For the last 5 months, I am not getting my salary. That’s why I wrote a mail to the top management regarding this issue to release my salary. But the management was so rude and warned me not to ask for the salary. And if I am not happy with the company policy, I can resign. I resigned already from the company with 30 days’ notice period, in spite of that, they are not releasing me. It is very hard for me to stay here without money. Already 2 months finished but nobody is listening to me here in the company. Please tell me what can I do now? Can I complain to Hamariya free zone labour department? Please show me the right way where I can get help.

Q: Dear Ahmed, My sister is working for a catering company based in a school and she didn't get her salary since May. She doesn't wish to continue with this company. Her contract is limited and joined in September 2017, but the contract is dated 04/12/2017. As per article 121, she has the right to resign without notice, however, another article says that she needs to pay the employer “early termination compensation”. Q: I have been working in a free zone company in Dubai for 14 months and I did not get my salary for more than 8 months. Every time I was asking for the salary, the employer tells me that he did not get payment from clients and he is still saying like that. Now, I sent the resignation letter due to the non-payment of salary, but the employer told me that I cannot resign and I need to finish my 3-year contract otherwise he will deduct the amount from my salary.
