When do the grace period start upon employment termination?
Hi Sir/Madam,
My visa expiry was July 31, 2019, and on August 14, 2019, my employer decided not to renew my employment visa.
When will my grace period start? And do I need to pay any penalty if I overstay until September 14, 2019?

The issuance of the visa is the subsequent obligation of your employer dependent on your employment contract.
Therefore, the main question here is whether your labor contract is limited or unlimited and if your contract is limited whether it has been expired also.
If your labor contract expired, you shall have 30 days grace period after visa expiry to either amend the status and get another residence visa or leave the country.
In the case of an unlimited labor contract, its discontinuation shall be carried on in conformity with the law. Until proper termination of the contract, the employer continues to bear all his obligations including work permit renewal arrangments.
