Does a business partner get banned for staying one year outside the UAE?

Assalam Alaikum,

I shall be grateful if you answer the following query.

A person holding a partner visa, with a clean record overall, leaves the UAE and stays outside for a year. The only payable dues would be his sponsor's amount.

How can he return to UAE? Will there be a ban on him?

Your reply would work wonderfully for me.

Thanks and regards,

Staying more than six months out of the UAE will automatically cancel residency visas. No one can stay outside the country more than six months then try to enter the country without a valid residency visa.

There won't be a ban unless you have issued cheques or taken a loan and remained unpaid. You can come on visit visa.

The 51% partner or sponsor does not file cases unless you are an employee, issued a cheque(s) or took a loan(s) which were not honoured.

Thanks a lot for your detailed reply.

I have no loan or other obligations to be met, except that I couldn't pay one year's amount to my sponsor.

Now, I'll do as per your advice and enter the UAE on a visit visa then pay my sponsor. I might contact you again if any question comes to my mind.

Thank you very much and best of regards.
