Q: I was working for Boutique 1, it's an LLC company. I left the company in October 2015, after working with them for 11 months. So I got a one-year labour ban from them. Then I joined another company which is in a free zone, so my visa got processed and faced no issues in October 2015. I have been with this company for 1 year and 9 months and now I have a job with Landmark which is an LLC as their marketing manager. So I cancelled my visa and applied with them but it got rejected because it says I have a 1-year ban. Now, the ban is from my old employer Boutique 1 (the ban should have finished last year), but since I didn't leave the country and rather changed my visa within the UAE the ban period never begun. I have filed a request with Tasheel but I don't think that will help. I have everything needed to lift the ban. The labour contract with my salary a lot more than AED 12,000 attested bachelor's degree & if necessary I can get NOC from Boutique 1 as it's been almost 2 years since I left them. Need urgent help!

Q: Hi, I was on a visit visa in Dubai in September 2016, I got a job and my employer applied for my employment visa in Oct 2016. When signing contract although I'm a real estate broker and that what is written in my offer letter as well, they put my visa under archives clerk as to avoid the cost of RERA certification. Also, the company was telling me to sell financial products which I have no experience in, so I resigned and left for India as my tourist visa was about to expire, my previous company is not ready to cancel my visa. Does this automatically put a 6 months ban on me and will it affect my ability to get a visit visa as my sister is based in Dubai? Please note that I have not entered UAE on their visa and it's expired on 17 Dec 2016.

He had left Dubai for a family emergency, however, he was informed by a local typing agent in Dubai that he can't return back. Q: Where should I file a complaint against my previous company? I was terminated in Aug 2018, in September I received an emergency and had to travel back home immediately. I informed the company and we came to an agreement that we shall cancel my residence visa once I am back in the country. After leaving the country, the next day the company applied for visa cancellation but never finished up the process with Immigration. Now, it's 8 months of begging them to finish up the process but they have completely refused. I am outside the UAE and I can't make any visa until the company finishes up with visa cancellation at Immigration. In the system, the residence visa is already cancelled by MOHRE and the labour contract is already cancelled. The only remaining part is with Immigration and they advised us only the company sponsor or PRO can finish up the process of which they have completely refused. How do I go about this?

Q: Hi, I lived in Dubai for 17 years and met my British husband whilst being there and we married. 4 years later, he hit me and financially abused me so I fled to the UK with our 2 very young children. I was not working at that time but was on his visa as a spouse. My visa was not properly canceled and it expired18 months ago. I am not on good terms at all with my ex-husband. Am I safe to visit Dubai again? Or there will be a problem if I go there because of not canceling the visa officially and absconding with children? This Decree sets the rules and conditions for the termination of fixed-term (limited) or unlimited (not term-bound) employment contract between employer and worker in the United Arab Emirates.
