Liabilities toward banks in Dubai and its settlement

Hi,

This is for my relative who has some liabilities in Dubai from credit cards. Now, he is in India. He wishes to come back to Dubai.

He wants to know if any case (criminal or civil) is filed against him here and also the amount liable.

How can he settle this amicably with banks?

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for reaching out to me on this.

As I understand your relative has financial liabilities in the UAE.

If he had given security cheques to the banks, then it is possible that the banks would have bounced his cheques and filed a police case against him.

In view of the police case, there will be a travel ban into the UAE and I wouldn't advise he travels to the UAE in this circumstance.

Your first step is to inspect the police records to ascertain what kind of cases he has if any.

Thereafter, with the help of a power of attorney such cases can be resolved either by paying fines or representation before Court.

You can get in touch with me on email or phone for further assistance and clarification.

I trust you will find the above satisfactory.

Regards,

Hari Wadhwana
